About the author

About the author

The author has a technical background, acquired during regular service with the British Royal Air Force, and later studied philosophy.

After becoming a Fellow of the Philosophical Society, he qualified as a teacher through London University. His involvement in astronomy developed from teaching in a high school where there was an active interest in the subject.

He has been investigating the connection between seismic and sunspot phenomena since 1964, and since retirement in Australia has continued with his observations.
